“How much bike do I get for $1,000?” has a different answer in China than anywhere else. This page maps the public 2026 line-ups of four Chinese direct brands, so the price bands stop being guesswork.
The 2026 price map
Public retail prices from brand stores, with the specification that defines each band:
| Band | Representative build | Price | What you get |
|---|---|---|---|
| Alloy entry | SAVA EX7-S (Tiagra), Twitter G2max (alloy, 24s) | $355–999 | Alloy frame, mechanical discs, alloy wheels |
| Carbon entry | Twitter R10 Pro (T800, 105), SAVA Gelaro SF6 (CUES) | $1,035–1,299 | Carbon frame, alloy wheels, entry hydraulic or mechanical |
| Carbon mid | Twitter R15 Pro / SAVA A7L PRO-105 (105 R7120) | $1,200–1,799 | Carbon frame and fork, full hydraulic 12-speed, alloy wheels |
| Carbon gravel | SAVA Gelaro S6 (GRX610) | $1,999 | Gravel geometry, 1×12 GRX, alloy wheels, 45 mm clearance |
| Carbon upper | SAVA AeroX R7 / M-FALCOH (105 Di2) | $2,699–2,999 | Electronic shifting, sometimes carbon wheels |
| Carbon flagship | Twitter R18 (T1000, 105 Di2), AeroX R8 (Ultegra Di2 + carbon wheels) | $2,796–3,899 | High-modulus frame, carbon wheelset, electronic 12-speed |
What the bands tell you about margins
Compare what each step up costs at the gate against what it adds at retail. Using public component quotes:
| Step up | Cost at factory | Retail uplift |
|---|---|---|
| Alloy frame → carbon frame (same groupset) | +$180–290 | +$300–400 |
| Mechanical → Shimano 105 R7120 hydraulic | +$150–250 | +$400–600 |
| Alloy wheels → 50 mm carbon wheelset | +$75–260 | +$300–500 |
| 105 mechanical → 105 Di2 | +$380–450 | +$900–1,100 |
The groupset and the wheels are where retail price is made. A carbon frame upgrade costs the factory $180–290 and typically adds $300–400 at retail — a reasonable step. Going from 105 mechanical to 105 Di2 costs $380–450 and adds $900–1,100, which is why every Chinese brand now leads its 2026 range with electronic shifting.

What changed between 2024 and 2026
Three shifts explain why the 2026 price map looks different from the one two years ago:
Why the cliff sits at $1,300
Because that is where a name-brand hydraulic groupset becomes affordable. The factory cost of moving from a budget groupset to Shimano 105 R7120 is roughly $150–250; the retail uplift is $400–600. Below $1,300 there is not enough price room to absorb that step, so the bike keeps a mechanical or budget hydraulic groupset and the riding experience does not change.
